While a fan of many blogs since the early 2000s, I have never been motivated to post before. I've developed numerous webpages and sites, but had no desire to add my personal thoughts. Now I am volunteering with non-profits which could use more social media presence, and am excited to explore this area. Stay tuned as this blog (and I) evolve!
As friends and family can attest, I was reluctant to join the masses on Facebook, however Twitter was another story! I joined in April 2016 and have been slowly becoming more and more involved. I love being able to catch up on the latest developments or learn new things quickly. I’ve been giving a lot of thought to my personal brand lately, and I think the companies and organizations I follow give a good sense of who I am and what I value. In reviewing them, they seem to fall into five main categories. Financial Education – this is my area of passion, and the first organizations I followed were The Jump$tart Coalition The Council for Economic Education Experian The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and The National Endowment for Financial Education , among others.
